What changed
The City of Calgary newsroom says Alberta Health Services (AHS) has rescinded the Boil Water Advisory for the Calgary community of Eagle Ridge, effective immediately.
The same notice says the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for Heritage Park. Heritage Park is working directly with Alberta Health Services to ensure testing requirements are met for its site, according to the notice.
The City of Calgary labs, working with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, tested and confirmed that the water in Eagle Ridge meets water-quality guidelines and standards and is safe for consumption.
The notice also describes how to flush pipes. If household or business water has been used in the past 24 hours, it can now be consumed without boiling. If it has not been used in the past 24 hours, the official page states that the system should be flushed: turn the bathtub tap on cold for ten minutes, then turn all other faucets on cold for five minutes; for businesses without a bathtub or shower, turn on all faucets on cold for ten minutes.
