What changed
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will adjust opening and closing times at four land ports of entry in Alberta to maintain alignment with hours at the neighbouring U.S. ports of entry.
According to the official release, this change follows Alberta's decision to adopt permanent year-round daylight saving time. Since the United States will continue to change its clocks seasonally, adjusting the operating hours at the Alberta ports of entry in the fall and spring means alignment of service hours between Canada and the U.S. will be maintained year-round at these four sites.
The four Alberta land ports of entry and their new hours (all Mountain Time):
- Aden: Travellers, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week; Commercial, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (except Holidays).
- Carway: Travellers and commercial, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., 7 days a week.
- Del Bonita: Travellers, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week; Commercial, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (except Holidays).
